Finkel Associates is a business law firm that advises companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and lenders on corporate matters, transactions, and disputes involving New York and Delaware law.
Since 2013, the firm has advised clients on business formation, investment, ownership changes, and commercial disputes. Its approach begins with the client’s objectives and an assessment of the relevant agreements, facts, and financial interests.
Transactional and litigation experience inform each other. When negotiating an agreement, the firm considers how its terms could be enforced in a dispute. When advising on a dispute, the firm considers the available remedies and the financial and operational consequences for the business.
Founder
Feliks Finkel
Feliks Finkel advises on business transactions and corporate governance and represents clients in business divorce, commercial disputes, and litigation. He is admitted to practice in New York and Delaware.
Before practicing law, Feliks worked on Wall Street, trading equities and derivatives as a Series 7 and Series 63 licensed trader in New York City and Darien, Connecticut. That experience informs his analysis of transaction economics, the parties’ incentives, and the financial consequences of legal decisions.
Feliks earned a B.A. in Economics from Hunter College, CUNY. He graduated magna cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2012, ranking third in his class and earning a business law concentration with honors. He served on the board of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. During law school, he was a Wolcott Fellow and clerked for Justice Ridgely of the Delaware Supreme Court.
Feliks was born in Ukraine, grew up in Manhattan, and speaks English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
